For more information on the Taylor Race Cars, CLICK HERE. Latest News: July 16th, 2010 - Jeff concluded the Dacotah Classic Modified Tour on Friday night at Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, North Dakota. After winning his consolation event Taylor locked into the feature. After battling throughout the top ten for much of the feature, Jeff advanced to a fourth place finish behind event winner, Brendan Gemmil, Jay Noteboom, and Brian Mullen. July 15th, 2010 - The Dacotah Classic Modified Tour rolled into Southwest Speedway in Dickinson, North Dakota on Thursday night. Jeff would once again qualify for the main event against a stout field of cars. He went on to record another good finish as he crossed the checkered flag in the 8th position. July 14th, 2010 - For the second straight night, Taylor entered a Dacotah Classic Modified Tour Speedweek event at Basin Speedway in Williston, North Dakota. Via preliminary action Jeff would race his way to a front row starting spot for the feature event. At the drop of the green flag he would take control of the top spot, and would lead the entire race until a late race caution allowed Shawn Strand to slip by to take the lead. Strand went on to lead the final five laps as Jeff Taylor scored a solid, second place finish. July 13th, 2010 - On Tuesday night, Round #3 of the Dacotah Classic Modified Tour Speedweek invaded Basin Speedway in Williston, North Dakota. Jeff would race his way into the starting grid for the main event, however early in the feature, he would once again receive contact from another car that would bring his night to an early end as he was scored with a 21st place finish. July 12th, 2010 - Tonight Jeff was in action at Estevan Motor Speedway in Estevan, SK for Round #2 of the Dacotah Classic Modified Tour. After charging from tenth to second in his heat race, Taylor started at the front of a b-main event. Unfortunately he would be taken out by another car in the b-main, which brought his night to an early end. July 11th, 2010 - Jeff picked up his first Open Wheel Modified win of the 2010 season on Sunday night at Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, North Dakota in the #5t Ed Turnbull owned Taylor Chassis, and he did it in a big way as he topped a field of 81 entries. The opening round of the Dacotah Classic Modified Tour saw Jeff start sixth in his heat and advance to a second place finish to earn the pole starting spot for the first consolation event, which he won. Via his consolation event win, Jeff locked into the ninth starting spot for the feature. In the main event, he would waste little time racing his way to the front and went on to take the lead and the win over Matt Brack and Will Brack. June 13th, 2010 - Jeff Taylor and everyone at Jeff Taylor Motorsports would like to send out a special congrats to Billy Moyer for winning his second $100,000 prize of his career in the 16th Annual Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Jeff set out to enter a Weekly Racing Series Event on Saturday night at Plumerville Speedway in Plumerville, Arkansas, but mechanical woes would bring his night to an end in hot laps. May 29th, 2010 - Jeff entered the Memorial Day Spectacular over the weekend at New West Plains Speedway in West Plains, Missouri. After finishing second in his heat race on Friday night, he locked into Saturday night's feature. Taylor ran in the top five for the duration of the event before passing his brother, Peyton Taylor, with two laps to go to take $1,200 win! May 23rd, 2010 - Jeff had a busy weekend as he entered three events in two different types of cars. On Friday he was behind the wheel of both his Open Wheel Modified and his Super Late Model at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. In the Crate Late Model division, he was competing with the Isle of Capri Series, which boasted a $1,500 winner's check. Via heat race action he earned the third starting spot for the feature event, and he bolted to the lead early in the race and never looked back en route to the win, which was his first of the season! In the Open Wheel Modified division, he started 12th in the feature event and raced his way to a solid, third place finish. On Saturday night, Jeff's luck would take a turn for the worse. He would qualify for the main event in the Crate Late Model division, but a massive pileup would result in a destroyed car. Luckily, Jeff was uninjured. April 17th, 2010 - Jeff finally was able to get his season underway over the course of the weekend as he competed at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. On Friday night, he pulled double duty between the Crate Late Model division and the Open Wheel Modified division. In the Open Wheel Modified division, Jeff would battle for the win before settling for a second place finish to race winner, Shawn Walsh. In the Isle of Capri Crate Late Models Presented By Bad Boy Mowers, a $1,500 top prize was posted as 34 cars entered the event. Jeff would retire early from the feature to an 18th place finish as mechanical woes hampered his efforts. On Saturday night, Jeff focused solely on the Isle of Capri Crate Late Models Presented By Bad Boy Mowers, which boasted a $2,000 to win purse. After qualifying for the feature via heat race action, Jeff battled at the front of the lead for much of the night, and contested for the lead during the event's middle stages before recording a fourth place finish behind event winner, Billy Moyer Jr., Eric Cooley, and Brandon Smith. April 2nd, 2010 - Jeff was set to enter his first event of 2010 tonight at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas, but rain forced the postponement of the event. February 17th, 2010 - A Used, Cars, Motors, & Parts section has been added to the site and the 2010 Taylor Motorsports Price Sheet has been added to the Racing Parts section. January 13th, 2010 - Jeff Taylor will host his 2nd Annual Driving/Chassis Seminar on March 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2010. March 19th will include a full day of classroom "Question and Answer" along with chassis setup help. The March 20th class will include half a day in the classroom discussing car setup and half a day short track testing at the local track. March 21st will include car setup and track testing at Batesville Motor Speedway in preparation for the following weekend's 14th Annual Mid-American Modified Championship. For mofre information please call 870-910-0555. November 15th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor competed in the Duel in the Desert over the weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track in Las Vegas, Nevada. With over 260 Open Wheel Modifieds entered into the event, the festivities got underway on Thursday night, November 12th. After having trouble in his heat race, Jeff started last (22nd) in his b-main and put on an impressive driving display to charge to the win, which earned him a transfer spot to the main event. In the feature, Jeff started in the 24th position and advanced to a 6th place finish. On Friday, November 13th, Taylor won his heat race to lock into the main event. In the feature, he raced his way to a 5th place finish, but with only the top four locking into Saturday's main event, he was relegated to a last chance qualifier on Saturday. On Saturday, November 14th Jeff would run a last chance qualifier, and managed to advance to the second position. However, with only the winner transferring to the feature, Jeff would fall just short of making the main event. Despite not making the main event, Jeff Taylor was extremely proud of his customers as Dominic Ursetta won his qualifying feature on Thursday night to lock into the main event. He went on to finish 4th in the finale, while his teammate, Eddie Belec Jr., transferred into the main event as well with a fourth place finish on Thursday night and came away with an impressive 6th place finish in Saturday's finale. November 8th, 2009 - After over a month away from the track, mostly induced by Mother Nature, Jeff finally returned to action over the weekend in the UMP Dirtcar Nationals at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico in a Rick Lovelady backup car. The $10,000 to win event drew 107 cars with festivities getting underway on Friday, November 6th. Jeff would have mechanical woes in heat race action, resulting in him finishing at the back of the pack and starting deep in a c-main event. In the c-main, the gremlins continued to pester him, and he failed to transfer to the main event. On Saturday, November 7th, Taylor would have a little better luck as he transferred from a b-main event into the feature. In the main event, he would race his way from deep in the pack to an 11th place finish. However, with only the top five finishers locking into the finale on Sunday, Jeff had to start over with the process on Sunday. The finale of the event was held on Sunday afternoon, and despite his best efforts Jeff would fall just short of transferring to the main event, which brought his weekend to an early end. September 27th, 2009 - Several new cars as well as Racing Parts specials have been added to the Racing Parts section. Jeff entered the 20th Annual Flatlander Classic at Sherman County Raceway in Goodland, Kansas. With 80 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand, Taylor picked up an 8th place finish in Saturday night's, $1,500 to win event. On Sunday night, Taylor had an eventful night with 80 entries once again on hand for the $3,500 to win event. After transferring from the b-main to the feature, Jeff started 22nd. By lap ten, Taylor took over the spot lap and a few laps later saw him putting the tenth place runner down. Jeff looked to be on his way to a dominating win before the fuel pump broke with eight laps to go, bringing his night to a disappointing early end. September 16th, 2009 - A complete Jeff Taylor Motorsports kit car (unassembled) has been added to the Racing Parts section. Check it out now before it sells! September 12th, 2009 - Taylor entered the final night of the 27th Annual IMCA Speedway Super Nationals on Saturday night at Boone Speedway in Boone, Iowa. After locking into the feature on Thursday night, Jeff was excited about his chances in the elite feature, but things would quickly go downhill when a car spun in front of Taylor early in the event, leaving him with nowhere to go. Jeff would receive heavy damage from the accident bringing his night to a disappointing early end with a 33rd place finish. September 11th, 2009 - Jeff took part in the All Star Invitational tonight at Boone Speedway, which featured ten of the top Open Wheel Modified pilots in the country in a bragging rights event. Jeff would challenge the leader for most of the race before recording a solid, second place finish. September 10th, 2009 - Jeff had a great night tonight in the 2nd night of the 27th Annual IMCA Speedway Super Nationals at Boone Speedway. After winning the 28th heat race, Jeff qualified for the feature event. However, a lap one accident would see Taylor heading pitside from fresh rubber. Despite the early race bad luck, Jeff would charge back to a second place finish at the checkered flag to earn a coveted, starting spot in Saturday night's $2,000 to win, finale. September 9th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor Motorsports competed in the first night of the 27th Annual IMCA Speedway Super Nationals tonight at Boone Speedway in Boone, Iowa. With 247 entries on hand, Jeff finished 5th in his heat race, which would send him to a b-main event. In the b-main, mechanical woes would sideline him to a 12th place finish, which left him short of a feature transfer. September 6th, 2009 - Jeff made the long trek over the weekend to compete in the Lon Skinner Memorial at Southern Oregon Speedway behind the wheel of a #66 Taylor Chassis, which is being fielded by Kevin Fitzgerald and Jack Roddy. Taylor got behind the eight ball on the qualifying night on Saturday night, but kicked things into high gear on Sunday night, as he made a run through the alphabet. He first finished third in the d-main to earn a transfer to the c-main. In the c-main, he advanced to a 5th place finish, which earned him a starting spot at the back of the b-main event. Taylor blasted his way to a 4th place finish in the b-main, which gave him a starting spot at the tail of the main event. In the coveted, $5,000 to win feature, Jeff raced his way to as high as the second position by the race's midway point before slipping back to a very respectable third place finish. August 29th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor Motorsports entered the second night of the Modified Madness event at Clayhill Motorsports on Saturday. Jeff would battle the setup during his heat race and b-main and ultimately fell just short of qualifying for the feature event as a broken transmission brought his night to an early end.. August 28th, 2009 - Jeff returned to action on Friday night at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee in the first night of the Modified Madness event, which paid $5,000 to win. Fifty-six Open Wheel Modifieds were on hand, and Jeff finished third in his heat race. Only the top two cars transferred to the feature, so Taylor was forced to run a b-main event. Jeff would finish second in his b-main to Shane Hebert to earn a transfer to the feature event. In the feature, Taylor would record a 14th place finish. August 16th, 2009 - Jeff had a busy weekend as he competed in both the Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified portion of the 17th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. In the Super Late Model division, with 68 Super Late Models on hand to battle for the $40,000 prize, Jeff struggled in time trials, which pinned him with the 8th starting spot for his heat race. He would charge to a 4th place finish in his twenty lap heat race, which was one spot short of a transfer to the 100 lap main event. As a result, he started outside front row for his b-main event on Saturday night. Jeff was running third in the b-main on Saturday night, when mechanical woes forced him pitside bringing his weekend to an early end. In the Open Wheel Modified division on Friday night, there were 44 entries on hand. After finishing second in his heat race, Jeff started fifth in his heat race and slipped to an 8th place finish by the time that the checkered flag fell on the 20 lap event. On Saturday night, Jeff would win his heat race in the Open Wheel Modified division to earn the third position for the twenty lap feature. Taylor would get as high as the second spot in the feature, before settling for a third place finish in a talent-laden field behind winner, Mike Bowers, and Robbie McClain. August 1st, 2009 - Jeff had a solid run in the 17th Annual Show Me Modified Championship at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri on Saturday. After winning his qualifying feature on Saturday night, he started 3rd in the championship event. He would get to the second position early in the event, and began challenging Shawn Walsh for the lead. Jeff would try several different grooves to get around Walsh, but ultimately had to settle for a strong second place finish. July 25th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor Motorsports entered the O'Reilly MSRA/O'Reilly MARS Challenge on Saturday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. Thirty-four Super Late Models turned out for the $2,500 to win event, and after screaming from his third starting position to win his heat race, Jeff earned the pole position for the 35 lap feature. However, things would go south from there as Jeff battled an ill-handling race car to a 14th place finish in the final rundown. July 24th, 2009 - Jeff pulled double duty on Friday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models and Southern Modified Promotions (SMP) Open Wheel Modifieds. In the Super Late Model division, Jeff locked into the pole-sitter's dash after qualifying third fastest in his group in group time trials. Taylor would record a 5th place finish in the dash, which earned him the 5th starting position for the 40 lap, $2,000 to win feature. He would battle his way to the front of the pack early in the event, and would have the lead by lap seven. A great battle was being waged with Scott Slay and Chris Wall for the top three spots and the trio would swap spots several times, before Jeff retook the lead late in the event, and went on to pick up his first Super Late Model win of the 2009 season over Scott Slay and Chris Wall! In the SMP Open Wheel Modified division, Jeff had trouble early in the evening and was forced to start 19th in the feature grid for the main event. However, he would not let him get it down as he charged from his 19th starting spot to a 5th place finish in the 40 lap feature. For his efforts he earned the Hard Charger Award! July 11th, 2009 - On Saturday night, Jeff Taylor Motorsports competed with the Rislone USCS Open Wheel Modified tour at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi. After setting second fast time in qualifications, Jeff earned the outside front row starting spot for the feature event. He would lead the first two laps before a flat tire sent him pitside. He would rejoin the back of the pack and advance back to a 9th place finish. He also finished second in the dash earlier in the evening. July 10th, 2009 - Jeff entered the $1,000 to win Rislone USCS Open Wheel Modified event on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. He would battle his brother Peyton Taylor for the lead for the entire event before settling for a second place finish. July 5th, 2009 - Jeff pulled double duty last night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi in the Super Late Model division and the Open Wheel Modified division. In the Open Wheel Modified division he rocketed his way to the feature win, which was his second of the year at Magnolia Motor Speedway and his third triumph overall of 2009. In the Super Late Model division with 38 entries on hand, Jeff qualified 5th fastest in his group in time trials, which earned him the 9th starting position for the 40 lap feature event. Jeff was running in the top ten on lap eight when he rolled to a stop with mechanical difficulties. He ducked into the pits and rejoined the rear of the field. He would race his way back to a 9th place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped. Taylor Motorsports was slated to be in action on Sunday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, but persistant rains forced the cancellation of the event. July 3rd, 2009 - Jeff competed tonight at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi in a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event in the Four Crown Nationals. With thirty-two Super Late Models on hand, Taylor won his qualifier to start 11th in the feature. In the main event, he would be credited with a 15th place finish. June 27th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor and Taylor Motorsports made the last minute decision to compete in a Weekly Racing Series Event at Crowley's Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Arkansas on Saturday night. After winning his heat race, Jeff finished a close 3rd in the feature. June 17th, 2009 - The Taylor Race Cars page has been updated with a Printable Taylor Chassis Customer Roller Form, and a 2009 Order Sheet Calculator. May 31st, 2009 - Jeff made the last minute decision to enter a pair of Open Wheel Modified events over the weekend. The action got underway at Drew County Speedway in Monticello, Arkansas with the USCS Modified Series. With 40 entries on hand, Jeff started 12th in the feature and advanced to an 8th place finish on a one groove race track. On Saturday night, Jeff Taylor Motorsports invaded Fast Trax Speedway in Chatham, Louisiana for the $5,000 to win Doug Murphrey Memorial. A solid contingent of cars turned out for the event, and Jeff would struggle early in the program. He would fail to lock into the feature via heat race action, but did transfer from a b-main event to start 22nd in the feature. Once again, the team would be faced with a race track, where racing came at a premium. Jeff would manage to charge to a 12th place finish. May 24th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor Motorsports had originally planned to compete in the 17th O'Reilly Show Me 100 over the weekend in the team's #5 Larry Shaw Super Late Model, however, they fell short of getting the car race ready. As a result, Jeff competed in just the Open Wheel Modified division, each night. On Friday night, with $750 on the line, Jeff would record a second place finish in his heat race before charging to a 5th place finish in the feature. On Saturday night, a $1,250 to win program was held with over 40 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for battle. Jeff would battle problems in his heat race, which forced him to race his way into the main event, via a b-main. Despite starting deep in the field in the feature event, Jeff would race his way to a solid 5th place finish, against a talented field of competitors! May 17th, 2009 - Jeff changed his weekend plans at the last minute due to an unfavorable forecast for Whynot Motorsports Park and just completed in the Weekly Racing Series Event at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. After winning his heat race in the Open Wheel Modified division, Jeff would strat 4th in the feature, and despite dropping a valve halfway through the feature, he would still manage a 2nd place finish. May 7th, 2009 - Jeff has decided to take the upcoming weekend off from racing to finish inventory and to get his Super Late Model ready for the upcoming Show Me 100 on Memorial Day wekeend at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri. Jeff will next be in action on March 16th-17th at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. April 26th, 2009 - Jeff Taylor won the feature event at the Ice Breaker Special on Sunday afternoon at I-76 Speedway in Fort Morgan, Colorado in his #5 Mesilla Valley Transportation/Rick Lovelady Carpets/Provence Construction/Taylor Chassis over a field of 40 competitors! The win was his second triumph of the 2009 season. April 11th, 2009 - Taylor Motorsports planned to compete in three events over the weekend, but heavy rains nixed the program at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on Thursday night. On Friday night, Jeff finally got the weekend underway and competed in the Open Wheel Modified division at Batesville Motor Speedway. He would race his way to a 3rd place finish behind Peyton Taylor and Jarred Landers against a field of 21 competitors. On Saturday night, Jeff raced at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri in a Weekly Racing Series event that was presented by Taylor Chassis. In the feature event, he started in the 11th position and charged to a second place finish. April 4th, 2009 - Jeff was in action tonight at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi, where he outdueled Greg Hollingsworth, and a field of 19 Open Wheel Modifieds to pick up his first feature win of the 2009 season in his #5 Taylor Chassis! March 8th, 2009 - Jeff competed in the 15th Annual Chub Daniels Memorial/Winter Meltdown over the weekend at Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico. With over 70 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand, after winning his heat race, Jeff earned the 9th starting position for his qualifying feature event on Thursday night in Rick Lovelady's #9T Taylor Race Car. Jeff would race his way to a second place finish in the qualifying feature behind fellow Arkansas, Jack Sullivan. Via his heat race finish, Taylor locked into Saturday's 50 lap, $10,000 to win/$1,250 to start finale. Jeff would battle a tight car in the feature, and ultimately recorded a strong 7th place finish against many of the nation's top Open Wheel Modified drivers.
