JEFF TAYLOR READIES FOR THREE-RACE WEEKEND!

JULY 3, 2008 -- After racing very sparingly during the month of June, Jeff Taylor is gearing up for a big 4th of July tripleheader weekend! Jeff will enter a $1,000 to win Open Wheel Modified event tonight, July 3 at the Batesville (AR) Speedway prior to traveling to the West Tennessee Motor Speedway for a $1,500 to win SMP Open Wheel Modified show on the 4th. His busy tripleheader weekend will then conclude on Saturday, as he tentatively plans on competing in a NCRA Late Model Series race at the Enid (OK) Speedway Park!

TAYLOR COMPETES IN ANNUAL 'SHOW-ME 100'

MAY 26, 2008 -- Jeff Taylor and his #5 team traveled to the Show-Me State of Missouri on May 23-24 for the 16th Annual 'Show-Me 100.' The venerable West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri played host to the annual mega-event and a whopping $42,000 top prize was up for grabs. Jeff timed in thirty-sixth fastest of the nearly 80 entrants during qualifying on Friday night, May 23 and later finished seventh in his ultra-competitive heat race. The Cave City, Arkansas native then ran seventh in his B-Main on Saturday, which unfortunately was five spots out of a coveted transfer position into the 100-lap main event. You can view complete results from the disappointing weekend online at www.westplains-speedway.com.

Jeff was also in action in an Open Wheel Modified at WPMS over the weekend. The driver known simply as "Animal" finished third in the $1,000 to win show on Friday night, while he ran ninth in the $1,500 to win event on Saturday evening.

JEFF TAYLOR IN ACTION AT BATESVILLE & MILAN!

MAY 19, 2008 -- Jeff Taylor was a busy man over the May 16-17 weekend, as he entered events at both the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas and the Milan Speedway in Milan, Tennessee. On Friday night, May 16 at Batesville, Jeff won his Open Wheel Modified heat race and later drew a number ten prior to the start of the $600 to win feature event. After starting from the outside of the fifth row, Jeff improved his position by six spots en route to a fourth place performance.

The dirt-slinging action then turned to Milan on Saturday, May 17 and Jeff competed in both the Dirt Late Model and the Open Wheel Modified divisions. The Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) sanctioned a $5,000 to win show for the Late Models and Jeff was third quickest in his group during qualifying. After winning his B-Main, the Cave City, Arkansas native rolled off from the outside of the sixth row for the 50-lap A-Main. With the track turning one groove for the main event, Jeff pulled his #5 entry off the track early in the race and settled for a twenty-first place effort. In the Open Wheel Modified division, "Animal" started eighteenth in the feature and wound up eleventh in the final rundown. TAYLOR WINS GREENVILLE MSRA OPENER!!!

MAY 12, 2008 -- Cave City, Arkansas native Jeff Taylor went into the record books on Friday night, May 9, as he became the first driver in O'Reilly MSRA Series competition to reach victory lane at the Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi! Jeff accumulated the most passing points during heat race action on Friday, which earned him the coveted pole position for the $2,000 to win A-Main. The driver known as the "Animal" was one of several Dirt Late Model pilots that held the point during the early portion of the feature event. Jeff then took advantage of Ray Moore's misfortunate late in the race to grab the lead for good. As the checkered flag fell over the stout field, Jeff was awarded the $2,000 victory over Dusty Johnston, Joey Mack, Ray Moore, and Jeff Chandler.

Another $2,000 to win MSRA show was held on Saturday evening, May 10 at Greenville. Jeff came into the event with high hopes of sweeping the weekend festivities, but suffered problems early in the main event. At the pay window following the racing activity, Jeff was credited with a disappointing nineteenth place performance.
